From the Ode to Lord Shiva
O Lord, who forever dances in thick darkness!
Dancer at Tillai, dweller in the South in Pantiya land!
You sever the painful cycle of rebirth.
Although you are beyond all words,
If your devotees cry out to you
And if beneath your feet they come to understand the meaning of their song,
They will depart to Sivapuram and there abide,
Bowing at Siva's feet amid the praising throng.
