Obsidian Records is a specialist early music label concentrating on repertoire from c.1300 to 1750. The focus is on historical sources, period instruments and performance practice, scholarly research and often previously unrecorded repertoire. The label was awarded a Gramophone Award for the recording “The Spy’s Choirbook” of music from the age of Henry VIII.
